At Bunker Hill Community College, the Financial Aid Office is committed to assisting students and their families meet the costs of a college education. Bunker Hill Community College participates in a wide variety of federal, state, and private financial aid programs.
The Financial Aid Office staff is available to answer questions or address any concerns that you may have about financing your education. Students are encouraged to check their financial aid status and view their award letter through BHCC Online Services at http://onlineservices.bhcc.edu
Students will be receiving their Financial Aid refunds through the BHCC OneCard. Students must register at www.bhcconecard.com and choose one of three ways to receive their refund. For more information visit www.bhcconecard.com or download the BHCC One Card PDF file.
Summer Financial Aid
The Financial Aid Office would like you to know that if you are considering taking classes this summer and you received a Pell grant during this school year, you might qualify for Pell grant funds to help you pay for those classes.
Returning student registration for the summer semester begins on Tuesday, April 7, 2015. If you are planning on taking summer classes and would like to have your financial aid award calculated, please complete the Summer Financial Aid Form. Having your financial aid calculated before the start of registration will help speed up your online registration process and help you avoid lines during the busiest times. Please make sure that you complete all parts of the form and check each required condition. Incomplete forms cannot be processed. It is very important that you know how many credits you plan on taking during the summer before you complete this form. Please be aware that your financial aid award will be adjusted if you enroll in a different number of credits than is listed on your form. If you register for a different number of credits than you list on your form, you should complete a new form and return it to the financial aid office immediately.
**Remember that financial aid does not always cover the full cost of tuition and fees and that you will need to carefully review your billing statement as soon as you register to determine if you owe a balance. Any balance that you owe for the Summer 2015 semester is due on the day you register. Please note that state financial aid (Mass Cash, Mass Grant, etc.) is not available during the summer semester. Students that have taken 12 credits or more in both the fall and spring semesters will not qualify for additional Pell grant funding for summer. In order to qualify for summer aid, you must be matriculated to BHCC, must have filed a 2014-2015 FAFSA, and must have taken classes in either the Fall 2014 or Spring 2015 semesters. If you are registering for your Fall 2015 classes during the spring, please review your account very carefully, as charges for both Summer 2015 and Fall 2015 semesters may appear on your billing statement. Financial aid awards for the Fall 2015 semester are not yet in place. Please be sure to complete your 2015-2016 FAFSA no later than May 1, 2015 if you are registering for the Fall 2015 semester. Bills for the Fall 2015 semester are due on July 1, 2015.**
The Summer Financial Aid Form can be submitted via email to firstname.lastname@example.org, via fax to 617-228-3407, or by dropping the form off to the Financial Aid Office. Forms received before the start of registration will be processed within 72 hours. Typed check marks and signatures are acceptable for this form. You can view your summer award amount by logging into your myBHCC account, clicking on “Financial aid by term”, and choosing “15SU Summer 2015”.
