Tackling Equality with Former NFL Player Wade Davis
Former NFL cornerback and equality advocate Wade Davis spoke on Thursday, February 28, 2019, as part of Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC)’s Compelling Conversations series. A thought leader and public speaker on gender, race and orientation equality, Davis is the NFL’s first LGBT inclusion consultant.

BOSTON (March 6, 2019) –Together with Bunker Hill Community College, Eversource Energy is offering students the chance to join a competitive program that can lead to a rewarding career in the energy industry. Current students in the Electric Power Utility Technology (EPUT) program travel from as far away as New Bedford to attend classes at Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC), the largest and most affordable community college in Massachusetts. After completing two years of academic, technical, and onsite training, EPUT graduates receive an Associate of Science degree in Electronics Technology and are often presented with employment opportunities as a utility worker with the energy company.
The Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) Men’s Basketball Team (ranked 8th nationally) won the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division III Region XX1 tournament. BHCC Men’s Basketball defeated Bristol Community College (7th) in the semi-final game and the Community College of Rhode Island (4th) in the final game. BHCC punched their ticket to an elite eight invite to the NJCAA Division III tournament to be held in Rochester, Minnesota, March 14-16. BHCC received a No. 4 seed and will be facing No. 5 Rock Valley College (Rockford, Illinois) on Thursday, March 14, at 5 p.m.
