New Students who wish to register for BESL classes need to take the English Placement test at the Assessment Center on the main campus (250 Rutherford Ave.) in Room B118, before registering for classes. If a student registers for the class without taking the placement test, they will risk the wrong level placement and may be asked to change levels. Please go to the Assessment Center in B118 to avoid placement issues.

Online Course: In BSL-004, students will continue developing the primary skills they learned in BSL-001 through BSL-003. We’ll strengthen writing skills using techniques such as writing multiple drafts, revising, editing and proofreading. The course will prepare students to deliver oral presentations to large groups using visual aids, secondary sources and level-appropriate vocabulary. Students will read articles, hold in-class discussions and debates, work in groups and write reflections in order to interact naturally in English. 

This class offers considerable practice with pronunciation and accent modification.

Do you need to become a Certified Food Manager? Then take our One-Day ServSafe Manager Food Safety Training and earn the most highly regarded certificate in the food service industry. Being trained on how to safely handle and prepare food for those who work in the beverage and food industry protects public health. The course teaches six areas of food service that can affect the safety of food.

  • You must purchase the course book one week before the class start date to allow time for it to arrive to your address.
  • If you do not have the book by the first day of class, you will not be able to participate in the class. Instead, you will be moved to the next available class.
  • Visit servsafe.com and go to Login/Create Account Tab at the top to create your profile.
  • Once you have completed your profile, go to the Servsafe Manager link and then to the Buy Products site.
  • Go to Manager Training and Certification Exam Products and select ServSafe Manager Book 7th edition with exam answer sheet ESX7.
