Three time Grammy Award-winning artist and founder of the Berklee Institute of Jazz and Gender Justice will talk about her experiences in the new paradigm of being a performing artist during COVID-19, maintaining creative values and navigating through this watershed moment of institutional acknowledgements regarding gender and race.

Featuring BHCC Popular Music Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble
Join two BHCC performing ensembles for a virtual concert of student musicians. The Popular Music Ensemble will present the second set of music videos about beginnings and endings, featuring songs popularized by artists such as The Rolling Stones, Avicii, Amaral, and Nena. The Jazz Ensemble will play their own original songs inspired by the roots of blues, then present seminal Brazilian jazz works by poet Vinicius de Moraes and composer Antonio Carlos Jobim, featuring guest appearance by Berklee Percussion Professor Mark Walker.
