Virtual College Visit with Boston College - Woods College

Virtual college visits are virtual events that allow Bunker Hill students to meet with transfer admission representatives from bachelor degree granting institutions. During these one hour sessions, students learn about each institution's academic programs, student engagement opportunities, and the process for applying and transferring to these institutions. Students also have the opportunity to ask their own questions.

Candidate Information Meetings will provide an overview of the SGA and an explanation of each position, the time commitment, and what to expect. All students interested in running for office must attend a Candidate Information Meeting. This year, virtual Candidate Information Sessions will be held on the following dates and times:
• Thursday, April 14 at 4:30 p.m.
• Tuesday, April 19 at 1 p.m.
• Wednesday, April 20 at 12 p.m./Noon
ELL Conversation Groups with LifeMap & the Language Lab

English language learners, please join Language Lab ELL/English tutor Joshua Heerter for our weekly conversation groups. We focus on pronunciation, grammar, and usual American ways of speaking. We plan to talk about important topics for BHCC students, including: registration, financial aid, career planning, on-campus jobs, communicating with professors, strategies for language learners in class, and much more! The groups are free to join, there is no registration required, and all may join for as long or as little as they wish.

Join BHCC Professor George Walters-Sleyon who will give poetry readings from his recent publication of over 200 poems written over a period of fifteen years, Nuggets from the Night: An Anthology of Poetic Expressions. He will focus on two categories in the book, “A Panegyric” and “Love and Romance.” This anthology represents a kaleidoscope of social, meditative, political, theological, and existential expressions captured in poetic verses. They are also arranged to provide solace in the current climate of COVID-19.
