(Recommended for students with 0-30 credits) This Arts, Humanities, Communication and Design & Behavioral, Social Sciences and Education pathway-specific workshop will focus on the first two stages of transferring: Planning and Exploring. Students will receive an overview of statewide transfer programs and incentives, how to transfer credits, searching for colleges, and other resources to clarify the transfer process. Recommended for students who are learning about transferring for the first time. It’s never too early to begin thinking about transfer!

Welcome back facilitator, author and multi-hyphenated creative Julia Mallory, who will examine the possibilities of working in (and against) private and public archives. This first session of a three-part series, will feature a demonstration of "Guess Which Ancestor," a teaching tool created by the guest artist that uses elements of gamification to explore genealogy and family folklore. Q & A to follow the presentation.

English Language Learner Conversation Groups with Joshua Heerter

The purpose of this group is to acquire and practice standardized American English, while at the same time learning how to navigate life at the College as an English Language Learner and/or immigrant. We will talk about the best language learning methods, along with strategies for dealing with coursework, professors, classmates, registration, transfer and career planning, financial issues, and much more. We discuss many of the challenges of life at the College, as well the ways to take advantage of the many opportunities that exist at Bunker Hill as well. The group is open to all students.
