A Juneteenth Celebration of Black Creativity, Black Music with The Juneteenth Legacy Project

Juneteenth LP returns to Bunker Hill for the Second Annual Juneteenth Celebration with a fresh slate of music that sits at the intersection of Black History, Black Creativity, Black Music including a piece written by BHCC Professor Tua Nefer, which will be a world premiere. Come join us for a program featuring Founder and Artistic Director Nnenna Ogwo (pianist), Eric Cooper (cellist) and Erika Banks-Alvarez (soprano).
A post-concert discussion with the musicians will conclude the program.

About Juneteenth Legacy Project: Juneteenth Legacy Project (Juneteenth LP) is a musical collaborative based in NYC, whose mission is to share the music of the African Diaspora through the unique lens of Black classically trained musicians with a focus on access, outreach and community building through music. Continually pushing boundaries in their musical and lecture offering, Juneteenth LP brings together unexpected classical music and brilliantly crafted arrangements of more popular repertoire for a refreshing take on live performances and educational music experiences.
