Bunker Hill will be hosting its annual Spring Transfer Fair on March 23rd, 2023! This Fair brings over 50 college admissions officers to BHCC to answer questions from students. This is a great opportunity to learn more about colleges you can attend. At times, fairs can be intimidating and overwhelming with information. Therefore, students are encouraged to attend this Transfer 101 to learn how to prepare and use your time at the fair to your advantage.
English Language Learner Conversation Groups with Joshua Heerter

The purpose of this group is to acquire and practice standardized American English, while at the same time learning how to navigate life at the College as an English Language Learner and/or immigrant. We will talk about the best language learning methods, along with strategies for dealing with coursework, professors, classmates, registration, transfer and career planning, financial issues, and much more. We discuss many of the challenges of life at the College, as well the ways to take advantage of the many opportunities that exist at Bunker Hill as well. The group is open to all students.
In-person days: Room E-140

This important Run/Hide/Fight Awareness Presentation will prepare attendees to formulate an individualized proactive plan to respond appropriately to an emergency or active shooter scenario in any type of venue or facility. While the probability of this type of scenario happening at BHCC is very low, it’s important to be prepared. This session is open to everyone and lasts approximately 90 minutes. All participants will receive a Certificate of Completion.

Educational Planning 101 - Using SelfService

This workshop will focus on using the BHCC SelfService tool for educational planning purposes. Students will learn how to navigate their Student Planning tab to understand program requirements, find their advisor assignment, and plan and register for courses. Students will learn some tips and tricks for using the Course Catalog to search for course terms, sections and formats.
