Hispanic Heritage Month - Experience! Sacred Circles -Creation Mythologies, Indigenous Voices, and Healing through the Arts
Wednesday, October 5, 2022
at 6 p.m.
Join area artists in these discovery and workshop sessions that reconnect to traditional narratives of how the world was created--bringing the past into the present and the present to the future. Find connections to traditional beliefs and practices, from Sacred Healing Circles to the Day of the Dead. Reflect on selections from BHCC's Library and Learning Commons collection on themes of love, spirit, ancestors, and embodied memory. Experience local and global art and artifacts as powerful forms of
visual storytelling. And share in the collective making of new works for the College's permanent Teaching and Learning Collection.
Find. Reflect. Experience. Share.
Hosted by artist and activist Maddu Huacuja and featuring the works of Ebony Three Arrows, Cristina Cortez, Deborah Spears Moorehead, Susan Thompson, and others.
Sponsored by the Mary L. Fifield Art Gallery
