Flexible Classes That Fit Your Schedule

You can take classes full time, part time, on campus or online! BHCC has multiple locations for you to take courses at the best place for you. BHCC’s Center for Self-Directed Learning offers a flexible program of self-study for those students who want to complete coursework on their own schedule, without attending classes, using both traditional textbook materials and online resources. Courses can extend over the entire semester, or be completed in a few weeks, depending on the student’s needs.

BHCC’s Charlestown Campus is conveniently located at the MBTA Orange Line’s “Community College” stop.

Paid Internships

BHCC students gain access to high-demand internships at some of Boston’s top corporations. The Learn and Earn program places BHCC students in competitive, paid internships where they gain critical hands-on, real-world experience in a potential future career, with many of our students landing jobs at these companies.

Military Friendly® College

BHCC’s Veterans Center and Student Veterans Organization provides veterans and current service members with the resources, assistance, direction, and support necessary for the successful transition from military to civilian life emphasizing personal, professional, and academic success.

Get Credit For Prior Work Experience

BHCC’s Prior Learning Assessment Program (PLA) assists students in examining their outside learning experiences and identifying those that may be considered for college-credit. Jobs, volunteer work, skills training and Armed Forces service are some of the common sources of this kind of learning.

Open Educational Resources (OER) Degree Initiative

Textbook costs are often a barrier for students to take courses. BHCC offers college courses and degree programs that use only freely accessible, openly licensed textbooks and other media instead of the usual expensive proprietary materials.
