Bunker Hill Community College Foundation Wins Grant for Laboratory Equipment

Bunker Hill Community College Foundation received a $10,000 Workforce Development and Education Grant from Bank of America Charitable Foundation on June 24, 2014. The College will use the funds to upgrade equipment in the Allied Health Programs’ classrooms and laboratories located at the College’s Chelsea Campus.

“We are grateful to Bank of America and the Bank of America Charitable Foundation for supporting our work,” said Dr. Pam Y. Eddinger, President of Bunker Hill Community College.  “The new equipment purchased with these funds represents an important contribution to our work in preparing students for meaningful careers.”

The Allied Health Certificate Programs at BHCC provide skilled workers for Boston’s burgeoning medical community through targeted training. Approximately 70 percent of BHCC graduates are employed in their field within 90 days of completing a program. BHCC Allied Health Certificate Programs include: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Medical Assistant, Medical Interpreting, Patient Care Technician, Sterile Processing and Surgical Technology.
