The partnership between Bunker Hill Community College and the Pathway Technology Campus (PTC) of Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción (IBA) offers a direct pathway into higher education and careers. The IBA was recently honored as a Finalist for the 2010 Massachusetts Non-Profit Network Excellence Awards in the collaboration category. The PTC is an educational and workforce development partnership with Bunker Hill Community College.
Students at Bunker Hill Community College will present Shine a Light, an original performance using the arts to speak out on poverty, war, sexual assault, HIV/AIDS and other social issues. The event, free and open to the public, will be at 6 p.m., Friday, December 10, 2010, in the A300 Auditorium on the Charlestown Campus
Bunker Hill Community College is one of the fastest-growing community colleges in the nation, according to a study released last week by Community College Week. In the category representing the largest community colleges in the country, Bunker Hill Community College ranks no. 27 in terms of enrollment growth– and is the only community college in Massachusetts to make the list. The survey period covers fall 2008 to fall 2009, when enrollment at the College increased by 16 percent.
