The Bunker Hill Community College Teaching, Learning and Instructional Technology Center (TLiTC) supports the academic mission of the college by helping instructors find innovative ways to use technology to support their teaching goals and by providing professional development opportunities in the use of instructional technology.
Drawing on expertise in both Instructional Technology and Instructional Psychology, TLiTC staff assist faculty with online, hybrid and traditional, ground-based courses offered at the college.
In addition, the TLiTC provides initial training and ongoing support in the use and operation of the college’s technology-enhanced “smart” classrooms; assist in the creation of custom, reusable multimedia learning objects; produce compelling video content for the college’s video media server as well as support the college’s ongoing podcasting initiative via our iTunesU portal.
Ultimately, the TLiTC is resource where faculty are invited and encouraged to stop in, prepare materials for an upcoming class, and “check out” equipment including laptop computers and portable audio recording devices to record a lecture or lesson segments to enhance their course.
The Teaching, Learning and Instructional Technology Center is a college-wide resource, reporting to the Dean of Online and Weekend College and advised by the TLiTC Advisory Board.
