ESL088: ACADEMIC READING II
(English as a Second Language)

Credits: 3

This high-intermediate course focuses on reading skills and vocabulary development. Students demonstrate an understanding of reading materials with comprehension questions and writing assignments. Students learn grammar in the context of the reading materials and in student generated writing. Students must complete the course with a grade of C or better in order to take other ESL courses.

Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in all ESL level I courses or ESL placement test.
