ESL077: ACADEMIC SPEAKING I
(English as a Second Language)

Credits: 3

This low-intermediate course focuses on the speaking skills necessary in an academic setting. All speaking activities are organized around reading and writing exercises. Students learn grammar in the context of speaking, in the context of the reading materials, and in the context of student generated writing. Students must complete the course with a grade of C or better in order to take other ESL courses.

Prerequisite: ESL placement test.
