ESL076: ACADEMIC NOTE-TAKING I
(English as a Second Language)

This low-intermediate course focuses on listening and note-taking skills. Students begin to develop a system for note-taking and learn how to use their notes to answer comprehension questions. All listening and note-taking activities include reading and writing exercises. Students learn grammar in the context of the materials used for listening and reading activities and in student generated writing. Students must complete the course with a grade of C or better in order to take other ESL courses.
Prerequisite: ESL placement test.
