The Multi-Purpose/Community Room is a large room with tables that comfortably seat 100 people. The room provides space in which to hold student activities programs, faculty and staff development workshops, conferences, and meetings. Guest speakers, artists, and performers have been featured in the Community Room.
Computer facilities include four computerized classrooms, and the Academic Computing Center, that house state-of-the-art, multi media computers. These Computers support students enrolled in computer-intense application courses, and provide supplemental support to students enrolled in other courses in the communication, math, science, and general education areas. The tutoring center provides tutoring six days a week in the areas of Math, English, Science, Computers, Spanish and Medical Terminology.
The Health Skills Laboratory offers a simulated setting in which students enrolled in the Patient Care Assistant Certificate Program, Surgical Technology Program, and the Weekend Nursing Program, Sterile Processing and Distribution Management Program learn necessary skills that will be transferred to the clinical area.
The Science Labortories and prep room are equipped with updated materials and equipment for experimentation by students enrolled in various science courses including biology, chemistry, and anatomy and physiology.
The Kurzweil Reading System assists students who are vision-impaired, or have reading and/or learning disabilities.
Teri Access Center, located in the tutoring center on the second floor is open from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Wednesdays. This Center offers information on financial aid, scholarships, college-to-college transfers and career counseling for all students at the Chelsea Campus.
The Student Lounge provides a warm, bright and friendly social atmosphere for students to relax between classes and meet other students who attend classes on the Chelsea Campus. The lounge is equipped with vending machines and coffee shops and restaurants are within walking distance.
