Division of Arts and Sciences

The Division of Arts and Sciences offeres a broad array of general education, liberal arts and humanities courses, English as a Second Language (ESL), Basic ESL and other developmental courses. Graduates offen transfer to four-year colleges or universities to continue their education; several senior institutions hold articulation agreements with BHCC. Faculty in the Division of Arts and Sciences are well-prepared and have extensive experience working with community college students.

Division of Nurse Education and Health Professions

The Division of Nurse Education and Health Professions prepares students for employment as well as transfer to four-year colleges and universities. The division offers a broad array of courses geared to in-demand health careers. Faculty members hold advanced degrees and/or extensive credentials in their fields. The Nursing Education Program is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission; the Medical Radiography Program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiological Technology. The Surgical Technology Program and the Ultrasound Program are both accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Allied Health Programs.

Division of Professional Services

The Division of Professional Studies is composed primarily of programs traditionally viewed as career-related, with the exception of the health fields. These are ideal for those students who wish to either transfer to four-year colleges or universities or immediately enter the workforce. Faculty members have significant practical experience in these varied fields and curriculum is continually evaluated to ensure currency with business, technology, and practices in the real world.
