2007-06-05 - Dr. Subrina Smith Taylor to Join BHCC as VP of Student Services and Enrollment Management
Boston, June 5, 2007 – Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) has appointed Subrina Smith Taylor, Ph.D. as the Vice President of Student Services and Enrollment Management. Dr. Smith Taylor is currently Dean of Enrollment Services at Harrisburg Area Community College in Harrisburg, PA. She will join the BHCC staff on July 1st.
“We are enthused that Dr. Smith Taylor is joining our administration. She is knowledgeable, experienced and has a proven track record of putting in place what it takes to attract, support and retain students. We could not have asked for a more ideal match,” said Mary L. Fifield, President, Bunker Hill Community College.
Dr. Smith Taylor earned her doctorate in Educational Administration from Temple University, and an M.S. in Family Life Studies and a B.A. in Psychology, both from the University of Southern Mississippi. She has been at Harrisburg Area Community College since 1993 and, prior to her current position, has served as the Executive Director of Student Retention Services; the Director of Counseling Services and Coordinator of Special Services for students with disabilities. Before joining the staff at Harrisburg, Dr. Smith Taylor was a Special Populations Coordinator at Delgado Community College in New Orleans, LA.

I am excited about the opportunity to get to Boston and to get to know them.”
Bunker Hill Community College is the largest community college in Massachusetts. The College enrolls more than 8,500 students on two campuses and at five satellite locations each semester. Some 1,700 students take classes online. BHCC is one of the most diverse institutions of higher education in the Commonwealth. Six in ten students are people of color and more than half of BHCC’s students are women. The College also enrolls more than 600 international students who come from more than 95 countries and speak more than 75 different languages.
