Bunker Hill Community College Breaks Ground for New Building
Boston, June 11, 2008 – Bunker Hill Community College broke ground Tuesday, June 10, 2008, for a 48,000-square-foot Health and Wellness Center, the first new building on the Charlestown campus in thirty years. International Journalist Mariane Pearl Addresses Crowd at BHCC
Boston, February 21, 2008 – International journalist and author Mariane Pearl spoke to a standing room only crowd today as more than 400 turned out at Bunker Hill Community College to hear her speak about her husband, his death and his legacy. Mariane Pearl was five months pregnant when her husband, The Wall Street Journal’s South Asia Bureau Chief—Daniel Pearl, was kidnapped and brutally murdered by a militant fundamentalist group in Pakistan in 2002. Bunker Hill Community College Wins $125,000 Grant from MetLife Foundation
Boston, February 20, 2008 –The MetLife Foundation has awarded a $125,000 grant to Bunker Hill Community College to support student achievement and boost the number of students graduating with associate degrees or transferring to four-year colleges. Bunker Hill Community College is one of ten community colleges in the northeast—and the only community college in Massachusetts—to win an award in the $1.2 million MetLife Foundation program. Boston, February 7, 2008 – It doesn’t take an accountant to tell you the value of getting assistance with your tax return—this year you can obtain tax preparation help for free. The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program at Bunker Hill Community College is available to help you fill out your state and federal tax returns free of charge.
