The Bunker Hill Community Art Gallery is pleased to present the work of acclaimed photographer Lou Jones in an exhibit entitled: "Final Exposure: Portraits from Death Row." In a series of twenty-seven black and white photographs of inmates on death row, these compelling images are from a book of the same title. The photographs are combined with revealing interviews of the inmates by Lou Jones and project manager Lorie Savel. The photographs penetrate a "secret" world and provide new insight into the lives of condemned men and women. The exhibit challenges the audience to question the death penalty topic, a legislative Bill currently under debate in Massachusetts.
Lou Jones is one of Boston's top art and commercial photographers. He has exhibited in galleries throughout the United States including the Corcoran, Washington, D.C. the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art the Cooper Hewitt Museum, New York City; and the Museum of Afro American Art, Boston. His clients have included Mobil, Nike, Federal Express, and AETNA.
