Responsibilities:: Experienced college-level faculty needed for our new initiative designed for mature students retraining to meet the needs of today’s economy.
Medical Office Management (This course covers the medical environment and staff, patient and staff scheduling, medical documents and computerized medical applications. HIPPA standards, ICD and CPT coding.
Microsoft Office I and II (Beginning and advanced word processing, database, spreadsheet, presentation graphics and desktop information management.)
Collaboration, Communication & Integration (Introduces the students to all major areas of personal and organizational collaboration, communication and integration of MS Office. Handwriting and speech recognition, Object Linking and Embedding (OLE), and liveMeeting.)
XML (Students will create a Document Type Definition (DTD) for validating their documents with an XML parser.)
Flash MX and Fireworks MX (Students create graphics and the code that brings the graphics to light. They combine the features of many other graphic programs to allow designers to incorporate the results into a WEB environment or as a component of other presentation tools such as MS PowerPoint or Flash.)
Windows Operating System (Students learn the most commonly used versions of the Windows Operating Systems.)
Fundamentals of Networking (Students obtain classroom and laboratory experience in current and emerging networking technology. Instructors much be CISCO certified.)
Requirements: Masters’ degree in an appropriate discipline required; Community college teaching experience preferred. Proven abilty to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population.
Mini-semester, Fridays 3-9 and Saturdays 9-3, February 8th to April 3rd.
