Adjunct Faculty Needed for spring 2010 Division of Arts & Sciences

Department: Academic Affairs

Location: Charlestown

Reports To: Dean of Arts & Sciences

Responsibilities:: The College is looking for adjunct faculty to teach in the spring semester which begins on January 25, 2010 and ends on May 23, 2010. Courses will be offered on the main Campus in Charlestown, the Chelsea Campus, Malden High School, Revere High School, and East Boston Neighborhood Health Center. Courses will be offered during these time blocks: Morning (7:00 AM to Noon), Afternoon (Noon to 5PM), Evening (5-9 PM), night (9 – 11:45 PM), and midnight (11:45 PM – 2:30 AM). Applicants should indicate the days and time blocks in which they are available to teach and the specific courses they are interested in teaching. Math: Developmental math College level math Introduction to statistics Behavioral Sciences: Principles of Psychology Psychology of Adjustment Group Dynamics Human Growth & Development Counseling Social Psychology Abnormal Psychology Principles of Sociol0gy Criminology Science: Principles of Human Biology with Lab Nutrition Science with Lab General Biology with Lab Anatomy & Physiology with Lab Microbiology with Lab Genetics with Lab ( -General Chemistry with Lab College Physics with Lab English: Developmental Reading Developmental Writing College Writing Oral Communication History & Social Sciences: Introduction to Philosophy Ethics World Religions Government & Politics in the US State & Local Politics History of Western Civilization World Civilization US History Macroeconomics Microeconomics English as a Second Language: Academic Speaking Academic Reading Academic Writing Foreign Languages: Elementary Spanish Intermediate Spanish Elementary French Intermediate French

Requirements: Master’s degree required; doctorate preferred. Experience with online instruction or web-enhanced instruction preferred; ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population. Community College experience preferred.
