Full-time Instructor-Visual and Media Arts Department (Tenure Track)

Department: Professional Studies

Location: Charlestown

Reports To: Dean of Professional Studies

Responsibilities::
• Teach courses in Fine Arts/Graphic Design as assigned
• Actively contribute to Departmental development efforts, including but not limited to curriculum development, facilities development, outreach and articulation and outcomes assessment
• Organize and mount annual department student show
• Student Advising and College Service responsibilities

Requirements: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• M.F.A.
• College level teaching experience including courses in Drawing / Painting / 2-D Design /Photoshop and/or other CS-based courses.
• Must have working familiarity with Macintosh platform and ability to teach Adobe Creative Suite applications.
• Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty staff and student population
• Community college teaching experience preferred.
• Professional experience in graphic design and/or exhibitions a plus. EFFECTIVE DATE: FALL 2009. THIS POSITION WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL FILLED.
