Department: Nurse Education & Health Professions
Location: Charlestown
Reports To: Dean of Nurse Education & Health Professions
Responsibilities:: The Associate Dean of Nurse Education and Health Professions will report directly to the Dean of Nurse Education and Health Professions and will assist the Dean in providing leadership for the faculty in the Division.
Specific Duties:
• Identify, develop, and implement new health programs which are consistent with the mission of the College and which meet the evolving needs of the community and its students.
• Maintain liaison with secondary schools to facilitate and support future enrollment.
• Coordinate programs and curriculum with licensing boards, assigned consultants and regulatory agencies.
• Assist with process of accreditation and preparation of reports for visits, program review, and licensing agencies.
• Maintain and implement policies regarding student application and enrollment.
• Maintain contractual relationships and obligations with local health care organizations.
• Arrange and oversee clinical rotation schedules for health occupations programs and facilitate new clinical opportunities for students.
• Participate in advisory committee meetings and maintain strong community ties for all health programs.
• Coordinate College and community information sessions for Nurse Education and Health Professions programs.
• Develop, maintain and monitor clinical and externship contracts with the College’s affiliated healthcare facilities.
Requirements: Required Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Nursing or other health related field, with appropriate credential and/ or license. Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population. Leadership, organizational ability, and demonstrated ability to plan, and organize work effectively. Demonstrated excellent written, oral presentation and interpersonal skills required. Experience in a clinical setting preferred.
SALARY RANGE: $75,000.00-$80,000.00
