The Workforce Development Center (WDC) provides companies with custom workplace learning solutions to develop incumbent worker skills that leads to improved on-the-job performance and supports the achievement of business goals.
Through customized and off-the-shelf learning solutions, the WDC is positioned to meet the training and development needs of your workforce - from frontline staff to supervisors and managers. We partner with training providers such as AchieveGlobal, Development Dimensions International, vleader, and others to bring you quality programs that achieve results. Additionally, we create workforce programs that support a variety of objectives. These include:
Au Pair Weekend – This unique program provides a forum for Au Pairs currently living in the United States with a host family, to gain the most from their "American experience" while satisfying their U.S. Department of State Au Pair educational requirement.
Cambridge BioMedical Careers Program – This nine-month certificate program trains and job-place mean and women in entry-level postioins in biotechnology-related employment. Graduates can look forward to securing the following positions: Laboratory Technicians, Laboratory Assistants, Manufacturing Associates, Research Assistants, Clinical Lab Assistants, Quality Control Technicians, and Animal Care Technicians.
Electric Power Utility Technology Program – In partnership with NSTAR, Bunker Hill Community College, and Local 369 UWUA, qualified students can achieve an accredited two-year Associate Science degree in Electronic Technology: Electric Power Utility Technology Program. Students who successfully complete the program requirements may be considered for available positions at NSTAR or an NSTAR qualified contractor.
