Program Overview

Degrees Conferred

The Division of Arts and Sciences offers a broad array of general education, liberal arts and humanities courses, as well as English as a Second Language (ESL) and other developmental courses.  Degrees awarded include the Associate of Arts (AA) and Associate of Science (AS) in several liberal arts majors and engineering. Graduates of these programs are able to enter the job market or to transfer to four-year colleges and universities.  Several of these degree programs, including Biological Sciences, Engineering, and Psychology, have articulation agreements with public and private universities, such as Boston University, UMass Boston, UMass Lowell, UMass Amherst, and UMass Dartmouth.   Through the Joint Admissions Program, students who graduate from approved degree programs with a cumulative grade point average of 2.50 or higher are guaranteed admission as juniors to the participating UMass campuses and state colleges.   For more degree and program details, refer to Academic Departments listed below.
