view course requirements

Overview

Program ID - AA.BADMN

The Business Administration Department offers seven academic programs, placing graduates in a competitive position when seeking employment or transferring to four-year academic institutions. Students qualify for entry-level positions within their areas of concentration. This concentration prepares students to transfer to four-year colleges or universities and major in business administration. A bachelor’s degree enhances the competitive status of students for entry into business-related fields, and prepares students for advanced degrees. The college has transfer articulation agreements with many four-year academic institutions in the area. Students interested in transferring credits from this program to a four-year institution should see a transfer counselor to select appropriate electives. The department also encourages students to consult with their advisors concerning transfer requirements.

Career Outlook:
Students’ potential careers vary depending upon the chosen major and include accounting, mid-level management, banking, finance, and insurance. Students must complete a bachelor’s degree as a minimum requirement for entry into these fields. Students may need to pursue graduate work, as well.

Upon completetion of this concentration graduates will be able to:

  • Describe the interaction of history, culture, literature, economics, and science as studied within a broad liberal arts curriculum.
  • Demonstrate competence in reading and writing/ literacy skills and in the organization of critical thinking and problem solving behaviors.
  • Examine management theory and practice and explain basic business methodology and application

Students enrolling in this degree program can earn World Studies Emphasis certification simultaneously.
