Visit and talk with local based community organizations on campus in front of the International Center. Two organizations are on campus from 9-12 and another two from 12:30-4PM. These organizations are here to tell you about their organization and how you might become more engaged with them as a volunteer.
The focus of this workshop is helping students learn the basics of the MLA and APA formatting style, as well as the fundamentals of academic integrity. Students will learn about different types of plagiarism, and how proper citations will help them avoid it. Students will also receive resources to help them with their writing assignments.
The focus of this workshop is helping students understand their learning style to create an effective study environment, develop techniques for better note-taking, and learn how to effectively read an academic textbook.
