The Surgical Technology Department offers courses and programs of study which supports the mission of the college and the Division of Science, Engineering, and Allied Health Programs by:
- Offering career preparation in Surgical Technology, and Sterile Processing and Distribution Management.
- Establishing and maintaining effective partnerships with clinical affiliates to enhance student’s experience.

The Surgical Technology Department is dedicated to an educational environment which prepares students for success as employees in healthcare organizations. We believe in modeling learning experiences to accurately reflect real life situations found in the workplace and provide the acquisition of tools which support success in those environments. Successful careers in healthcare favor self evaluation, competence, and lifelong learning, values we seek to instill in our students. We respect and value the diversity of our students and use strategies which foster cooperative learning, team building, community involvement, and the understanding and appreciation of others.
