The TLiTC is dedicated to finding new and innovative ways of leveraging instructional technology to enhance teaching and learning. With this goal in mind, we offer a variety of resources and services available to BHCC faculty.
The TLiTC maintains a total of 12 high-end, Apple Macintosh computers that run the most up to date versions of both Mac and Windows operating systems as well as industry leading production and creative software.
Additionally, we have a state-of-the-art, Apple Macintosh audio/video editing workstation and utilize Final Cut Studio and Logic Studio to support project needs.
- We also have a variety of equipment available for faculty to use in the center including:
- Flat bed scanner
- Color printer
- Portable Audio Recording devices
- SMART Board electronic whiteboards
In addition to the physical equipment needed to produce compelling content, we also have a talented staff available to work with faculty on projects and are able to offer the following services:
- Support the recording and editing of audio narration for podcast production and lecture support
- Support the creation of narrated Powerpoint presentations using Adobe Presenter
- Shoot and edit video content for curriculum-based projects*
- Convert segments from VHS video tape and DVD media to a digital format for use in an instructional context* (Fair Use/Copyright Guidelines apply to these requests)
- Assist in the scanning and creation of PDF documents
- Create customized, reusable learning objects using Adobe Flash, Captivate and Camtasia Studio
- Support all online course development by transferring MS Word-based lesson and syllabus template files into a web-friendly format for course access
