Bunker Hill Community College will provide students with innovative leadership experiences and support services necessary to achieve academic success and realize personal goals.

Achieved Commonwealth Honors status, and established the Commonwealth Honors Program to continue fostering additional student opportunities for academic excellence. Sixteen BHCC Honors students participated in presentations at the 9th Annual Undergraduate Conference.

Prepared 85 Boston Public High School students for the challenges of college, through GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs) and MEOP (the Massachusetts Educational Opportunity Program).

Coordinated spring internships for 120 students at 85 businesses. New community internship sites include Dana Farber Cancer Institute, which employs 12 BHCC-credentialed Clinical Assistants.

Awarded scholarships for students to study abroad in seven different countries. Federally-funded scholarships also enabled five faculty members to pursue professional development opportunities in Mexico and Costa Rica.

Pursued community college to senior college signed transfer agreements, for a total of 30 agreements, making the transition to four-year colleges easier for BHCC students.
