BHCC will offer student-friendly services that are responsive, efficient, accessible and convenient.

Maintained affordable tuition and fees — more affordable in the Fall of 2003 than any other public institution of higher education in the Commonwealth.

Increased the number of eCollege course sections by 32 percent, leading to a 19 percent increase in web class enrollment for the 2002-2003 academic year. BHCC is now one of the leading public providers of online higher-education courses in Massachusetts.

Expanded the Weekend College, increasing student enrollment by 77 percent and providing more opportunities for students who work during the week.

Opened a new satellite campus in Boston to provide residents of the Villa Victoria housing development with on-site skills assessment, individualized support, and access to BHCC courses, through traditional classroom and online instruction. The campus was developed in partnership with Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción, a community development organization.

Improved immigrant services through new partnerships with ABCD Learning Works, the Irish Immigration Center, the Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts, and Community Change.

Doubled the number of online courses available
(from more than 500 to more than 1000) by providing BHCC students with access to over 500 additional courses through Mass Colleges Online. The BHCC eCollege website was also redesigned for easier navigation.
