 BHCC
will develop dynamic curricula and innovative teaching and
learning methods that are competency-based, incorporate state-of-the-art
technology and are responsive to workforce needs and diverse
populations.
- New health career programs will be developed in Allied Health, Mammography and Medical Coding to respond to labor market demands.
- As a follow-up to Criminal Justice, Computer Technology and Culinary Arts comprehensive program reviews, curricula will be modified to ensure currency and compatibility with todayÕs workforce requirements.
- External advisory boards in academic disciplines such as Criminal Justice, Nursing and Computer Technology will be expanded to strengthen the link between education and workforce needs.
- A College Teaching and Learning Center will be launched at the Charlestown Campus to enable faculty and professional staff to become more knowledgeable about new instructional methodologies and state-of-the-art technologies to meet institutional objectives and workforce needs.
- BHCC will strengthen its collaboration with healthcare providers to ensure more opportunities for entry-level employees to access degree programs matched with workforce needs.
