Cost of services: free for legal. Sliding scale fees for counseling, $5 - $55 per visit. Insurance is not accepted.

  • Asian Outreach Unit (Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese spoken)—provides assistance for housing, domestic violence, family issues, employment, benefits, and immigration
  • Elderly Unit—serves seniors regardless of income
  • Employment Unit—helps those denied benefits or not receiving minimum wage or overtime
  • Family Law Unit
  • Health & Disability Unit
  • Housing Unit
  • Immigrant Unit
  • Medicare Advocacy Project
  • Welfare Law Unit

Status or Documentation Needed to Access Services: Income must not exceed 125% of the Federal Poverty Income Guidelines and must live in service area (see www.gbls.org/legalhelp.htm).
Elderly clients and medicare beneficiaries are not subject to income guidelines.
